On November 14, 2024, an official of the City of Lake Forest stated under oath that all property and business owners are "responsible" for the actions and behavior of their tenants and their tenants' employees. Furthermore, this official stated that "responsible" means that the property or business owner should be charged with the exact same crimes as the employee or tenant. This is analogous to a parent of a minor child receiving a speeding ticket if their minor child receives a speeding ticket. This statement was corroborated by the city attorney.
These statements by the city official and the city attorney have far-reaching implications. The city official and the city attorney have purposefully and maliciously corrupted the city business codes to advance their own agendas.
I understand that city officials are immune to lawsuits for malice, negligence, and corruption of city officials, so these matters must be decided in the court of public opinion.
The city attorney's office on the other hand, is not immune to challenges to the individual law licenses for violating Rule 8.4 - Misconduct of the American Bar Association.
Stay tuned.
